This report reminds us that the proliferation of sophisticated drone technologies continues apace, particularly in four areas – hobbyist drones, midsize military and commercial systems, large military-specific drones, and stealth combat systems. Given that these four types of drones have different capabilities and development trends, the report goes on to wonder what the proliferation of these systems will mean for state, non-state and individual actors in the security and defense spheres.
