This report addresses reconciliation efforts in post-conflict situations around the world as well as what concepts of reconciliation and strategies are used to inform these efforts. The authors also 1) examine the theories that underpin the reconciliation strategies; 2) identify ten overlapping strategies that are used in reconciliation projects; 3) look at how organizations measure success in reconciliation efforts; and 4) discuss some of the main challenges facing these efforts including in the sphere of evaluation as well as outline some key areas for future research in this area.
