This Insight describes the progress which the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) has made since 2010 in developing its capabilities. Although the RAN has indeed made great strides in improving its overall strength, there’s still plenty of work to do when it comes to 1) managing the fleet and its personnel, 2) working more closely with industry, and 3) operationalizing the service’s future submarine, minor vessels and frigate projects.
