This brief evaluates President Obama’s foreign policy from 2009 until 2015. The text specifically analyzes his 1) engagement with Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan; 2) desire to reduce the worldwide total of nuclear weapons and secure them from terrorists; 3) attempts to achieve US energy security and combat climate change; and 4) efforts to rebuild alliances and reconcile with countries such as Cuba and Iran. Finally, the brief’s author summarizes the impact of Obama's foreign policy in various parts of the world.
