This report 1) highlights Denmark's approach to preventing and countering violent extremism, and 2) pinpoints the problems or dilemmas it faces. The approach relies on extensive multiagency collaboration between various social-service providers, the educational system, the healthcare system, the police, various municipalities, and the intelligence and security services. Unfortunately, since defining the warp and woof of radicalization and extremism remains complicated, there is a lack of consensus between Danish stakeholders on how to counter the phenomena, particularly when it comes to the criteria, standards and procedures that should be followed.
