This commentary discusses how the lifting of economic sanctions against Iran has spurred Saudi Arabia to reach out to Turkey as a potential partner against Tehran. Indeed, the recent deployment of Saudi fighter aircraft to Incirlik Air Force Base could be seen not only as a military move against the so-called Islamic State, but also as a signal of interstate unity between the two Sunni nations.
