This paper examines how Russia uses its energy resources to enhance its strategic influence and divide the EU. More specifically, the text's authors discuss 1) the rise of energy geo-economics; 2) the domestic factors behind Russia’s energy policies; and 3) the geo-economic nature of Russia’s pipeline and nuclear power plant projects.
