Given the growing dangers of transnational terrorism in India and South Asia, this commentary argues that it's time for New Delhi to move beyond its Pakistan-centered vision of counterterrorism. Indeed, the text's authors contend that recent events (the arrest of operatives working on behalf of the so-called Islamic State and the hacking of an Indian government’s website by al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent) point to an inescapable fact: New Delhi needs to adopt a more nuanced counterterrorism approach that's actually in sync with the increasing complexity of the threat.
