As usual, this issue of the Canadian Military Journal focuses on a wide range of defense-related topics. Indeed, its articles look at 1) Canada’s Operation Provision, which processed 25,000 Syrian refugees for resettlement in Canada; 2) the role of women in the Canadian military; 3) the limitations of “linear thinking” in military planning and analysis; 4) how to apply the commander’s intent philosophy and individual initiative in new battlespaces; and 5) how transnational revolutionary organizations have evolved during the Islamist era. The issue further includes book reviews and a number of commentaries by defense analysts.
