In the wake of violent attacks by individual Palestinians in 2015 and early 2016, Israeli officials considered various ways to quell the surge. One proposal, which recommends either deporting family members of the attackers or assigning them a place of residence, may indeed be legally untenable, particularly on geographical and personal grounds.
