Will the US´ August 2017 ´Countering America´s Adversaries through Sanctions Act´ - which imposes sanctions on Iran, North Korea and Russia - unduly interfere with EU energy security? The author of this text doesn’t thinks so. Indeed, he contends that the law 1) actually provides a range of opportunities for US-EU collaboration in both the cyber-security and energy-security realms; and 2) could strengthen the position of EU policymakers in future energy negotiations with Russia.
