This publication analyzes the 4th World Social Forum (WSF) in Mumbai, India. The author discusses the themes raised at the forum, namely the outline of alternative ideologies to neo-liberal economic policies and capitalist-led globalization. Discussion topics also include the rights of garment workers, the privatization of water, US foreign policy, human rights issues, international trade agreements, the environment and children's rights. Furthermore, the report discusses the challenges faced by the WSF, its media coverage, its significance and its future.
