This report analyzes the 2005 Group of Eight (G8) meeting in Gleneagles, Scotland, with particular attention given to the activities of opposing NGOs and civil society groups. The author discusses a broad range of topics, including global climate change, debt relief, aid and trade justice. She also describes how the world's attention digressed from the summit when a series of terrorist bombs exploded in London.
