Publication

This paper proposes a US grand strategy for the Pacific region. The author examines the political situation and various trends in the countries on the Pacific rim as it presented itself in 1989. The paper concludes that the United States and its Pacific allies should actively draw out the Soviet Union to full participation in regional affairs.
