This paper contains an in-depth analysis of the Central Asian region and its countries. The author describes the geopolitical situation and dynamics of the region and offers an extensive look into key issues such as the economy, resources, health and ecology. The study further discusses the implications of Islam for the stability of the region and assesses Iran's and Turkey's influence.The paper concludes that the path on which the states of Central Asia have embarked might be long and treacherous.
