This paper assesses Turkey's post-Cold War security policy. The author provides information on the changes in Turkey's security policy since the end of the Cold War and the corresponding implications for its relationship with the West. The paper concludes that the West cannot afford to lose such a politically valuable country, in such a significant region, at such a critical period of time.
