This conference report from the National Security Conference held in January 2005 in Singapore focuses on Singapore's national security after the attacks of 11 September 2001. It discusses how policymakers and practitioners should organize to meet the broad spectrum of national security threats. The panelists discuss the main components of a national security strategy, namely, threat assessment, organization, prevention and crisis management. Further, they examine the framework for threat and risk analysis and assess the threat from terrorism and nuclear, biological and chemical attacks.
