This report provides information on the 3rd Asia-Pacific Security Conference, held in conjunction with Asian Aerospace 2006. The first panel of the conference addresses US strategic policy in Asia and the potential reaction of the US to China's growing influence in the region. The second panel discusses the issue of transnational terrorism, in particular the nature of the terrorist threat in Asia; its links, if any, with groups in the Middle East; and regional responses to these threats.
