This conference report describes the proceedings of a 2002 conference entitled "Evolving Approaches to Security in the Asia-Pacific." The conference examined the concepts used by regional states as the basis of their defense policies and security practices in the Asia-Pacific. Discussions were focused primarily on the impact of the war on terror on those concepts and practices of regional security.
