The paper examines eleven ideas that have emerged in Geneva’s history and culture and looks at how they are getting on in the world of war and current politics. These ideas are political ones, a primal fear and the ICRC approach as well as particular characteristics of former ICRC delegates. According to the report, all have an influence on ongoing humanitarian actions.
