This report describes how the strategic alliance between Iran, Syria and Hizbollah plays a significant part in the political situation in the Middle East and relates to a number of political questions of diplomatic interest for Denmark. The author explains the historical background of the alliance, the changes it has undergone since the appearance of Hizbollah in 1982, and its significance in the political situation following the war between Hizbollah and Israel in 2006.
