This paper discusses defense industry reform in China. The author explains that resolute defense leadership, overall economic market reforms, as well as the Chinese military's consciousness for defense industrial reforms have all helped create an environment conducive for innovation and economic adaptability. The paper examines the general impact of defense industrial reforms on civil-military relations in China.
