This paper analyzes the reforms and changes in the general elections in Malaysian politics since 1969. It discusses possible outcomes of the 1999-2000 general elections for the National Front, bearing in mind the mentioned reforms and changes. The author concludes that as far as election results are concerned, it is difficult to envisage the incumbent losing its grip on the two-thirds parliamentary majority.
