This briefing examines the upcoming December elections in Serbia. It states that the new government will have to confront major economic, political and social challenges. However, the probable victory of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS) should make it capable to negotiate Serbia's relationship with Montenegro, to take full control over both the military and police, and to begin a reform process of the state.
