This report examines the impact of the Kosovo crisis on Albania and assesses the relevance of the redefined Albanian national question both in terms of regional initiatives for closer cooperation and the resurgence of old issues, such as the Cham property rights claim. The paper tracks the ongoing developments within the domestic setting and outlines the challenges ahead in the fields of security, law and order and efforts to combat organized crime and illegal immigration.
