This report addresses Kosovo’s economic development and suggests ways to improve the current situation. The paper reviews the situation, outlines the international strategy for economic reconstruction and discusses the investment in human capital. The report argues that there is definite scope for economic progress if a number of issues are resolved including privatization, corruption and education. It argues that Kosovo’s economy is in better shape than some of its neighbors,' but that it is highly dependent on remittances, international aid input and associated spending.
