This report addresses the situation in Congo (DRC) after the assassination of Laurent Kabila and the subsequent inauguration of his son Joseph Kabila as the country's next president. The paper focuses on Congo's stalled peace process and outlines revised plans for disengagement and disarmament, including the deployment of a UN peacekeeping force.
