This paper addresses the terrorist attacks on a train between India and Pakistan on the night of 18 February 2007 that killed 68 people. The paper examines the reasons for the high number of casualties, reviews Pakistan’s alleged connections with international terrorism, and explores the consequences of the attack for the Indo-Pakistani peace process. The paper concludes that there is still a determination on both sides to carry the peace process forward.
