The text's articles specifically look at 1) the so-called Islamic State’s (IS) northward expansion in the Philippines; 2) the resurgence of Jemaah Islamiyah, which is Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Southeast Asia; 3) the rise of IS in Pakistan; 4) the sources, methods, and uses of IS funding; and 5) the group's footprint in socio-politically volatile India.
