This paper provides information on the 7th World Social Forum (WSF) that took place in Nairobi, Kenya. The author explores the past and present of the WSF and discusses the 2007 conference in detail, focusing on the location, participants, costs and organizers. Subsequently, the paper presents an extensive list of issues that were discussed in Nairobi, covering social, political, environmental and developmental issues. Finally, the paper presents some concluding remarks, focusing on the high costs of WSF participation and the dominance of northern NGOs.
