The publication features eight papers on innovations in global governance dealing with four critical issues: peacebuilding, human rights, the cyber domain and climate change. Specific topics covered include 1) the importance for peacebuilding efforts of ensuring that global organizations are responsive to the local realities they aim to transform; 2) the role of states in human rights governance, including how this has been affected by the growth nationalism and populism around the globe; 3) governance challenges in the global digital economy; 4) how climate governance has moved from being exclusively within the purview of intergovernmental negotiators to the active concern of a wider range of actors, and more.
