This paper assesses the 2006 EU-US agreement regulating the exchange of airline passenger records. This replaces the 2004 agreement, which was found to be inadequately protecting personal data by the European Court of Justice. The author compares the agreements regarding data protection and discusses the key issues arising as a result of the 2006 agreement.
