The articles in this edition of the CTTA focus on 1) how opium production in Afghanistan has contributed to terrorism financing in the country, and how efforts to combat this problem could learn from Thailand’s drug cultivation eradication efforts; 2) Pakistan’s measures to counter extremism by promoting Sufi Islam in the country, including why they failed to achieve their desired result; and 3) terrorism financing through the misuse of charities.
