This publication sums up the conclusions reached and opinions voiced at the "Transnational Islamist Movements in Asia: Networks, Structure and Threat Assessment" conference held in Singapore in September 2006. Topics discussed included the history of Islam in the Asia Pacific region, the evolution and the dynamics of transnational terrorist movements in Asia, and the impact of transnational terrorist movements on the conflicts in some of the countries in the region such as India, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
