After establishing the relevant strategic, economic, political and fiscal contexts, the text’s author goes on to explore 1) the funding promises made by the 2016 Defense White Paper; 2) further opportunities for defense reform; and 3) how the provisioning of foreign aid (among other activities) may be impacted by the new budget.
