This paper explores the implications of the Indo-US civilian nuclear agreement, pointing to repercussions for nuclear testing and the alleged dependence of Indian foreign policy upon the US. The paper outlines the provisions of the agreement, introduces the views of India's political parties on related issues and asks whether the government has the necessary parliamentary majority to ratify the agreement.
