This paper reviews the impact of the Northern Ugandan Shea Nut Project (NUSP) on the conflict and peace dynamics in the Ugandan Lira district and the impact of those conflict dynamics on the NUSP, highlighting the highly complex link between conflict and development. The paper outlines the process of undertaking the evaluation and summarizes key findings and recommendations. The paper finds that the NUSP is having a small but generally positive impact in Lira district.
