This paper examines the ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the US and Singapore. According to the text’s author, the city-state has proven to be a valuable economic and security partner for the US, but future relations will have to rely on a continued spirit of cooperation between both countries. That’s because of the challenges they will probably face, which include US activism in other regions of the world, Singapore’s changing political landscape, and the still dicey ties with China.
