OK, so what will a bilateral rapprochement with Russia cost the Trump administration? According to this E-Note, Moscow’ demands will include 1) an end to NATO’s military buildup; 2) the removal of economic sanctions; and 3) fewer US interventions abroad. However, despite President Trump’s personal ties to members of Russia’s elite, the note’s author concludes that prospects for peace between the two countries remain dim because of Moscow’s continued intervention in Ukraine.
