Despite persistent tensions in contemporary US-Russian relations, are there opportunities for strategic cooperation between Washington and Moscow? To answer this question, this report explores possible areas for US-Russia collaboration within Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific. The author also 1) highlights the importance for the two countries of maintaining strategic stability in their relations as well as existing global arms control regimes; and 2) provides five recommendations on how Russia and the US can improve bilateral ties and work together to enhance global security.
