This article discusses why and how global climate change and peace are related. It explains why it is justified that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and former US vice-president Al Gore were awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. The author offers examples of conflicts that were caused by or are related to climate change.
