This article addresses problems of urban transport in major Indian cities. The author highlights the importance of both administrators and end users in paying greater attention to the implementation of traffic rules and regulations. He is convinced that India needs more accountability and responsibility on the part of the central and state governments with regard to urban transport regulation.
