This paper discusses the access to water as a source of future conflicts. The author argues that regional disputes around water scarcity are as much a concern as are internal conflicts surrounding the fair distribution of water. The paper concludes that water will not be a hindrance to peace if there is the political will to avoid conflict. But if countries want to fight, the conflict around water will give them ample opportunities.
