This report features a detailed summary of a conference held in June 2007 to examine the 10th anniversary of the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Among the issues discussed at the conference were a review of the specific developments that affected the countries during the crisis, lessons learned and corrective measures taken in the countries affected, the impact of regional and international on the 1997 crisis, and the identification of potential future problems with levels of preparedness.
