This conference report discusses globalization and economic development in Africa. It identifies best practices for emerging economies engaging with globalization and examines the nexus between politics and economics in identifying and codifying lessons from high growth. The report pinpoints the relevant macro- and microeconomic steps necessary for higher rates of economic growth in countries that have undergone significant political change and have dealt with acute sociopolitical challenges.
