Well, if China had a hypothetical vote in the 2016 US Presidential Election, which candidate would it vote for? The author of this paper argues that although Beijing prefers others to sustain continuity in power, it seems to be more ambivalent this time around. Here are the reasons why the country may be less averse than normal to the idea of a Trump victory.
