This brief addresses the Sino-Indian dispute over India's northeastern province of Arunachal Pradesh and the implications of a visit to the region by the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. It summarizes Singh's promises for Arunachal Pradesh's development, considers reasons for the visit and discusses China's claim to the region.
