This paper examines potential economic interaction between Europe and the Black Sea-Caspian region. First, it considers the concept of economic security and trans-Caspian and Black Sea energy infrastructure. Further, the paper analyzes the role of Ukraine and the South Caucasus including external actors like, Russia, Turkey and Iran in the context of European energy security.
