What might the future hold for Africa given present demographic, economic, technological, urban and socio-political trends? This publication outlines that these trends suggest a generally positive future for the continent. However, our authors also believe that these trends are neither stable nor even. For instance, living conditions might well be improving in many places across Africa, but this is not the case everywhere and – in light of the continent’s rapidly growing population - it’s not happening fast enough.
