This paper looks at the prospects for the Russian-West relations, examining how the latter is perceived and what the objectives of Russia's foreign policy are. The author identifies the situation to contain both a negative political position toward the West as well as an expansion of the economic ties. He predicts no critical rethinking in Russian foreign policy, even with a change of president.
